But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Lacalle couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Lacalle in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cecilio Cucho saved Caicarita FC from getting behind. Enrique Mendiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Cucho having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Caicarita FC's Julen Argandoña got a free kick in the 38th minute. Bernardo Lacalle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Enrique Mendiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Cucho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Julen Argandoña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guacamuco's zone, Esiquio Tubia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claris Moran came out of the goal and Esiquio Tubia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Julen Argandoña made the kick off in the second half. Bernardo Lacalle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Cecilio Cucho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Claris Moran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Caicarita FC's Cecilio Cucho got control of the ball when Bernardo Lacalle tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Caicarita FC's Esiquio Tubia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claris Moran narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
