Garikoitz Barcena charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garikoitz Barcena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Serrajones FC booed when Cabure was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garikoitz Barcena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cabure's Innocenzio Rienda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabel Llamazares in the 12th minute of play. Julio Salina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Innocenzio Rienda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Horacio Urquioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colas Argudin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inaki Gurendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otsoa Escajedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colas Argudin having to interfere. Serrajones FC's Julio Salina got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Bernabel Llamazares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serrajones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabel Llamazares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cabure's Horacio Urquioja got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Horacio Urquioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colas Argudin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inaki Gurendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Inaki Gurendes struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Colas Argudin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabure. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusebio Vilaro during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Julio Salina came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Serrajones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Salina couldn't finish the play. Innocenzio Rienda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Vilaro in the 74th minute of the match. Bernabel Llamazares was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Horacio Urquioja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inaki Gurendes in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Colas Argudin saved Serrajones FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Inaki Gurendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabure's supporters rose to their feet, but Inaki Gurendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colas Argudin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Cabure's Horacio Urquioja nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colas Argudin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 90 minutes into the match, Serrajones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inaki Gurendes came free, but Colas Argudin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cabure's Innocenzio Rienda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabel Llamazares in the 92nd minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
