The crowd rose to their feet as Bermudo Tristan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cresencio Balboa. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. In the 9th minute Bermudo Tristan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cresencio Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gines Camp in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernebe Castellanos saved Club Atletico Pirañas from getting behind. Guillerme Hoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Petrona FC's Gines Camp in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bermudo Tristan in the 30th minute of play forced Petrona FC's goalkeeper Cresencio Balboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bermudo Tristan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cresencio Balboa having to make a save. Cresencio Balboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernado Caroso in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bermudo Tristan made a kick off. Fernado Caroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cresencio Balboa having to interfere. If Gines Camp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cresencio Balboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bermudo Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Cresencio Balboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernado Caroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cresencio Balboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bermudo Tristan's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Gines Camp received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernebe Castellanos came out and tried to block the shot, but Gines Camp slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 77th minute.
