If Hibai Piedeconcha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barlovento's goalkeeper Romano Rioseras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Eduardo Beysama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fatriquera FC's goalkeeper Tercero Reguera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hibai Piedeconcha in the 22nd minute of play forced Barlovento's goalkeeper Romano Rioseras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Barlovento booed when Fatriquera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Confesor Roxas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Garaile Guridi came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Barlovento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garaile Guridi couldn't finish the play. Fatriquera FC's Tercero Reguera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martxelin Alarcon in the 32nd minute of play. Froylan Castellon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Fatriquera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panpili Ilardia to maneuver through the defense. If Martxelin Alarcon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froylan Castellon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romano Rioseras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froylan Castellon in the 49th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martxelin Alarcon made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, Barlovento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garaile Guridi to maneuver through the defense. Froylan Castellon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Froylan Castellon came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Fatriquera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froylan Castellon couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Garaile Guridi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tercero Reguera. Fatriquera FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garaile Guridi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Goizeder Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Martxelin Alarcon struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Tercero Reguera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barlovento. 71 minutes into the match, Fatriquera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martxelin Alarcon came free, but Tercero Reguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martxelin Alarcon in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tercero Reguera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Barlovento booed when Fatriquera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panpili Ilardia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hibai Piedeconcha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Romano Rioseras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Barlovento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Ceraso to maneuver through the defense. Hibai Piedeconcha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Romano Rioseras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romano Rioseras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froylan Castellon, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Barlovento supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barlovento would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
