The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severo Trillo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Montrelle Orense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clis Pombo in the 15th minute of play. Pinto Tariego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Montrelle Orense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clis Pombo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montrelle Orense having to interfere. Atapirire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martinez Gainzarain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clis Pombo in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Montrelle Orense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martinez Gainzarain did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Urtsua Beyzania 44 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Montrelle Orense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Quelia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Omuquema got a freekick which was hit by Tomi Gabilondo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clis Pombo got free with Montrelle Orense in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rdth minute of the game Severo Trillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Omuquema's Urtsua Beyzania was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Omuquema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomi Gabilondo to maneuver through the defense. Martinez Gainzarain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atapirire's goalkeeper Montrelle Orense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Omuquema's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Atapirire had won, even though Omuquema had held more of the ball.
