With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignazio Gabi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ignazio Gabi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliazar Orive showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. After 37 played minutes Potrero FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliazar Orive. If Felix Oñiderra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Potrero FC booed when Sombrereta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervaso Besora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignazio Gabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Harroyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frechoso Vados's late challenge caught a Potrero FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frechoso Vados helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sombrereta's Frechoso Vados got a free kick in the 47th minute. Mirande Borjas might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignazio Gabi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mirande Borjas ran back to his position shaking his head.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Trigueros to make the kick off. In the 97th minute, Felix Oñiderra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
