After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Servando Betoño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karmel Zalvide breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karmel Zalvide made an important save on a dangerous shot by Servando Betoño in the 71st minute. Guaimure's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Servando Betoño scored to the left of an out of position Karmel Zalvide, making the score, 1-2. Hector-Luis Trapiella hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Gaueko Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guaimure's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaueko Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
