Xavierlada Guridi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Julen Merayo came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Verdun FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julen Merayo couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, Garcia Salvador dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dominguez Orchua, 1-0. In the 43rd match minute, Verdun FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garcia Salvador to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Verdun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Feo Cera came free, but Xavierlada Guridi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julen Merayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Dominguez Orchua made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chayo Uja made a kick off. If Julen Merayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eufrasio Najera's late challenge caught a Verdun FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eufrasio Najera helped the player get up and apologised. Eufrasio Najera hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Dominguez Orchua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julen Merayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Matia Tebar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dominguez Orchua. Táchira F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matia Tebar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 68th minute, Julen Merayo made a precise shot to the right of Dominguez Orchua. Táchira F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 71st minute, Julen Merayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Matia Tebar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dominguez Orchua. Garcia Salvador scored 5-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dominguez Orchua, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the game, Matia Tebar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Dominguez Orchua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Verdun FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Táchira F.C for a fine match.
