Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Xurxo Esterina kicked off to start the match. After 5 played minutes Miguelon FC got a freekick which was hit by Xurxo Esterina. After 6 played minutes Miguelon FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Michel. Roberto Menendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salbatore Estremiana in the 11th minute of the match. When Xurxo Esterina came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Miguelon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xurxo Esterina couldn't finish the play. After 14 minutes, Bernabel Lastras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catacaguana FC and the Miguelon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Miguelon FC booed when Catacaguana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabel Lastras didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Catacaguana FC's goalkeeper Xalvador Briz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francis Muñoyerro. Xurxo Esterina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Briz having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Salbatore Estremiana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roberto Menendez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roberto Menendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salbatore Estremiana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Xurxo Esterina kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xalvador Briz. That made the score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. Francis Muñoyerro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Briz having to interfere. Xalvador Briz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Xurxo Esterina showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. Norberto Ituarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Menendez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Salbatore Estremiana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catacaguana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salbatore Estremiana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Menendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto Ituarte to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Carlo Bueres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miguelon FC and the Catacaguana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Carlo Bueres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Norberto Ituarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Betances during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iparragirre Longar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Salbatore Estremiana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Roberto Menendez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 67 played minutes Catacaguana FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernabel Lastras. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Salbatore Estremiana got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Norberto Ituarte took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Roberto Menendez to make any attempt to save it. In the 80th minute, Aquiles Michel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigoberto Betances was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Roberto Menendez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iparragirre Longar. When Aquiles Michel fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miguelon FC's protests and gave Aquiles Michel a yellow card for diving instead. Aquiles Michel kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The Catacaguana FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
