The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Telmo Nobajas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Sport Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Nobajas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Araoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Luciano Area kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardino Araoz. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. When Luciano Area came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Real Sport Fenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Area couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Luciano Area managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Sport Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Area was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Araoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Ihazintu Valderramal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 13 minutes, Luciano Area managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sport Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Area was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luciano Area who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Bernardino Araoz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bernardino Araoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Nobajas in the 20th minute of the match. Mercado's Bernardino Araoz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Mercado from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mercado's goalkeeper Bernardino Araoz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luciano Area struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bernardino Araoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Sport Fenix. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Area in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardino Araoz saved Mercado from getting behind. Mercado's Bernardino Araoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Kulenovic in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Luciano Area notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mercado's Bernardino Araoz. Bernardino Araoz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sedeni Maneiro to make the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Luciano Area who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mercado's Bernardino Araoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Isidro Otoniel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Bernardino Araoz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ihazintu Valderramal fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mercado's protests and gave Ihazintu Valderramal a yellow card for diving instead. Ihazintu Valderramal kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Mercado got a freekick which was hit by Vigil Mena. 64 minutes into the game, Sandro Kulenovic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Bernardino Araoz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Real Sport Fenix's Nevada Soret was substituted for Domeka Planes. Nevada Soret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Bernardino Araoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Araoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Joanes in the 76th minute of play. Isidro Otoniel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mercado's goalkeeper Bernardino Araoz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 83 minutes, Nevada Soret managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sport Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nevada Soret was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Luciano Area got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidro Otoniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Real Sport Fenix's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
