In the 4th minute of the match Sidoro Caño sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernaldo Berroa skillfully saved the ball. Mijaguito FC's Martinez Hornos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danel Berenguer in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Villayuste in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernaldo Berroa saved Esmeralo from getting behind. If Zelipe Alday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mijaguito FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bordat Ochoa hit a great ball. Gutxi Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinez Hornos having to interfere. If Leon Villayuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danel Berenguer in the 32nd minute of play forced Mijaguito FC's goalkeeper Martinez Hornos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Esmeralo's zone, Leon Villayuste stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernaldo Berroa came out of the goal and Leon Villayuste tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Zelipe Alday's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernaldo Berroa was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the game, Mijaguito FC's Leon Villayuste nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernaldo Berroa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Mijaguito FC's Osoitz Ruifrancos got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute, Leon Villayuste ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernaldo Berroa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leon Villayuste made the kick off in the second half. Gutxi Guzman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martinez Hornos having to make a save. In the 65th minute, Osoitz Ruifrancos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Zelipe Alday dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernaldo Berroa, 1-3. Arnalt Combarros tried in the 75th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Bernaldo Berroa a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-4. 78 minutes in the game, Zelipe Alday fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bernaldo Berroa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Leon Villayuste managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mijaguito FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Villayuste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernaldo Berroa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Danel Berenguer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esmeralo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Zelipe Alday could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Bernaldo Berroa made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Mijaguito FC's zone, Danel Berenguer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinez Hornos came out of the goal and Danel Berenguer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Danel Berenguer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martinez Hornos was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Martinez Hornos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danel Berenguer in the 98th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mijaguito FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
