In the 38th minute Taurino Poblaciàn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selatse Vijil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Karmel Pinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Quizandal FC's Selatse Vijil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mogel Mascaraque in the 67th minute of play. When Renaldo Echavarria fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quizandal FC's protests and gave Renaldo Echavarria a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Quizandal FC got a freekick which was hit by Renaldo Echavarria. Leopoldo Millera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aires Macedo in the 81st minute of play. When Karmel Pinto, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Leopoldo Millera was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Aires Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Millera having to interfere. Leopoldo Millera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aires Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Karmel Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. deportivo anzoategui's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
