Mede Saenz's late challenge caught a AS ROMA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mede Saenz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AS ROMA booed when demons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mede Saenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, demons's goalkeeper Saverio Armentia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uzuri Perales. Naike Menor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulin Salablanca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Paulin Salablanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bero Montesinos to strike the kick off in the second half. Naike Menor made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Paulin Salablanca sent off a good shot on target. Naike Menor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jabier Arzola, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Saverio Armentia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bero Montesinos in the 66th minute of play. In the 86th minute, one of demons:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for demons. Uzuri Perales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Armentia having to interfere. Bero Montesinos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saverio Armentia having to make a save. In the 97th minute Uzuri Perales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Armentia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 100th minute, Uzuri Perales managed to get in a good position for a shot. AS ROMA's supporters rose to their feet, but Uzuri Perales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saverio Armentia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AS ROMA were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
