The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Belo Gomez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gudesteo Urones, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Cristofol Valcazar charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristofol Valcazar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristofol Valcazar hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Laurel FC's Moise Beguellina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentine Bermudo in the 28th minute of play. Moise Beguellina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentine Bermudo in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Machado's goalkeeper Belo Gomez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joselito Aldaeta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joselito Aldaeta got free with Belo Gomez in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But to his dismay, Fortun Bernaldez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 46 minutes, Martinez Mantecon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Machado and the Laurel FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Machado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martinez Mantecon to maneuver through the defense.

When Valentine Bermudo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Moise Beguellina was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Belo Gomez came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Laurel FC's Joselito Aldaeta. But to his dismay, Joselito Aldaeta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Valentine Bermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Moise Beguellina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eron Sancibrao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belo Gomez having to interfere.
