After 10 played minutes, Gorditos SC's Teodor Becerro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Donato Encia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gorditos SC reached it. If Izotz Laures had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Venegas getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Juan-Alfredo Alberdi hit a great ball. Donato Encia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cefero Villarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Dabi Danzo made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Flavio Sebastiani sent off a good shot on target. Gorditos SC's Dabi Danzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Gorditos SC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salomone Urraca during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Donato Encia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cefero Villarin in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Venegas's Juan-Alfredo Alberdi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Juan-Alfredo Alberdi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venegas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juan-Alfredo Alberdi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venegas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Fernando to make the kick off. Dabi Danzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izotz Laures in the 54th minute of the match. Izotz Laures sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Gorditos SC's Pedro Fernando dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 67th match minute, Gorditos SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josue Queduro to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Xuan Amaya notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Gorditos SC's Dabi Danzo. Dabi Danzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venegas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Pedro Fernando scored to the left of an out of position Donato Encia, making the score, 3-3. 76 minutes into the match, Xuan Amaya notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Gorditos SC's Dabi Danzo. Dabi Danzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Venegas made a substitution. Ionuț Azamfirei replaced Nerio Vasallo. When Xuan Amaya came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Venegas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xuan Amaya couldn't finish the play. Ursino Portillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Dabi Danzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Encia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gillermo Toranzo. If Izotz Laures had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Venegas booed when Gorditos SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gillermo Toranzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Encia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Fernando, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
