To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Fernando Borjas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, S.S.C Bestville's Montay Celaya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Lico Helguero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montay Celaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Montay Celaya to make the kick off. Lico Helguero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Montay Celaya in the 54th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesus Torrienta got free with Ferrando Marful in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guter Sallas in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lico Helguero saved Sicua FC from getting behind. 61 minutes into the game, Sicua FC's Jesus Torrienta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferrando Marful made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Lico Helguero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Montay Celaya's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Sicua FC's Matei Lagunilla got a free kick in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Montay Celaya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Lico Helguero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the game, S.S.C Bestville's Joselito Suarbol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lico Helguero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Matei Lagunilla was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Matei Lagunilla hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. If Guter Sallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lico Helguero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guter Sallas in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sicua FC's Lluterio Graci got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Sicua FC booed when S.S.C Bestville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montay Celaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sicua FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for S.S.C Bestville.
