In the 25th minute, Dalmacio Surco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cabudare FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a left leg Bortzaioriz Urbistondo saved Cabudare FC from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Eleazar Tablares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bortzaioriz Urbistondo. Cabudare FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eleazar Tablares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cabudare FC's zone, Eleazar Tablares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bortzaioriz Urbistondo came out of the goal and Eleazar Tablares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernard Ochagavia to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cabudare FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xurxo Nicolas was slow to take the kick. During this time Rugero FC's players had a chance to rest. Arnau Aranguiz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Arnau Aranguiz fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Eleazar Tablares managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Ochagavia in the 89th minute of play forced Cabudare FC's goalkeeper Bortzaioriz Urbistondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernard Ochagavia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bortzaioriz Urbistondo. That made the score 2-2 in the 91 minute of play. If Bernard Ochagavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Rugero FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
