Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 150) When Obano Barriga came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Maracaibo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Obano Barriga couldn't finish the play. If Evis Gracia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Juarez scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nazario Clavell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roberto Urroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panfilo Vagrande in the 18th minute of play. Firme Mirones hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Obano Barriga hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Panfilo Vagrande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Urroz. Maracaibo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Panfilo Vagrande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Maracaibo's goal looked a bit too open when Panfilo Vagrande came free, but Roberto Urroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panfilo Vagrande struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Roberto Urroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pericantal FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Panfilo Vagrande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pericantal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Panfilo Vagrande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Urroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Panfilo Vagrande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Urroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Cresenciano Arganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazario Clavell having to interfere. Jonathan Chapa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Roberto Urroz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Maracaibo's Roberto Urroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panfilo Vagrande in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Panfilo Vagrande recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roberto Urroz. Panfilo Vagrande showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Ilixo Lantadilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Urroz having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ilixo Lantadilla got free with Roberto Urroz in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute Panfilo Vagrande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Urroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Pericantal FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Maracaibo side.
