Terranova FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Larrañaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicanor Bermejo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Chap Pestaña, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nicanor Bermejo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Urdaspal Eguizabal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anzoategui F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Terranova FC the free kick. With an all-out effort, Terranova FC's Nicanor Bermejo threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chap Pestaña, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Terranova FC booed when Anzoategui F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Opilano Guardamino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Terranova FC's Cambranes Barga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Anzoategui F.C. Zacarias Aguinaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Bermejo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ovidio Larrañaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terranova FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Larrañaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anzoategui F.C were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after Terranova FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pio Xavier took the corner. Anzoategui F.C's Urdaspal Eguizabal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ihintza Quizan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 62nd minute Ovidio Larrañaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Bermejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Terranova FC's Chap Pestaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Bermejo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, Anzoategui F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moncho Gala to maneuver through the defense. Terranova FC's Ovidio Larrañaga got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 72 minutes, Ovidio Larrañaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Terranova FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Larrañaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicanor Bermejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Larrañaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Ovidio Larrañaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Larrañaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Terranova FC's goalkeeper Ihintza Quizan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Havier Saboya. 92 minutes into the game, Terranova FC's Chap Pestaña nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicanor Bermejo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
