Araju's Mikeldi Mañon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorencio Pereña in the 8th minute of play. Elia Doblas charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elia Doblas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Araju's Elia Doblas got a free kick in the 12th minute. Frances Cela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Galo Guais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldomiro Cebollero in the 17th minute of play forced Jotomana FC's goalkeeper Galo Guais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldomiro Cebollero kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Aldomiro Cebollero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikeldi Mañon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorencio Pereña's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Frances Cela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galo Guais having to interfere. Aldomiro Cebollero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Jotomana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frances Cela came free, but Galo Guais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorencio Pereña was the one to do the kick off. Galo Guais made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Frances Cela sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute Lorencio Pereña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikeldi Mañon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Jotomana FC booed when Araju was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Doblas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mikeldi Mañon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lorencio Pereña went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Galo Guais made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Frances Cela sent off a good shot on target. Mikeldi Mañon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorencio Pereña in the 71st minute of the match. When Beltran Portela fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araju's protests and gave Beltran Portela a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, one of Araju:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Araju. The referee gave Jotomana FC a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Inko Renta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Araju's Mikeldi Mañon. 3-0. After 77 played minutes Jotomana FC got a freekick which was hit by Froylan Rasines. In the 80th minute Aldomiro Cebollero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Galo Guais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose-Antonio Faubelo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In a very dangerous position, a player in Araju fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Inko Renta placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Araju's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
