Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Rastrojitos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martxelin Ayos came free, but Efren Avila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sancho Chirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oxel Ayo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martxelin Ayos in the 28th minute of play forced Rastrojitos FC's goalkeeper Efren Avila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AC Pettorano's Ronaldo Deleyto got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Sancho Chirino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 33rd minute, Estevao Leza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Fidel Cediel notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rastrojitos FC's Efren Avila. Efren Avila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sancho Chirino to make the kick off.
