In the 14th minute, Sanson Baro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlos Encia in the 17th minute of play forced Culantrillo FC's goalkeeper Silbestre Aldeco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cordera Baeza fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Culantrillo FC's protests and gave Cordera Baeza a yellow card for diving instead. Karlos Encia hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the game, Cordera Baeza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. After 31 minutes, Llin Pazos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batalal FC and the Culantrillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Batalal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Llin Pazos to maneuver through the defense. Cordera Baeza was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Nuno Bustelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Laurentzi Biniambres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Menendo Govantes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Batalal FC's Domenico Ubiña quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Karlos Encia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. A very good chance. If Nuno Bustelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karlos Encia might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silbestre Aldeco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silbestre Aldeco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillen Morelos in the 90th minute of play.
