With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tito Picardo in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Icedo saved Mucuro FC from getting behind. Tito Picardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Nuno Icedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidel Alzola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Villodas, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Tito Picardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Nuno Icedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tito Picardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Icedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Chaime Lombillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tito Picardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Espiridion Gill kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Tito Picardo in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Chaime Lombillo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Nuno Icedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabimas FC. Tito Picardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mucuro FC's Nuno Icedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tito Picardo in the 45th minute of play. Cabimas FC's Efrain Revenga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mucuro FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tito Picardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Icedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Picardo in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chaime Lombillo in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Icedo saved Mucuro FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Mucuro FC defense, Tito Picardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuno Icedo. The Mucuro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Icedo should have stopped the shot. Phelipe Aleson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Alzola having to interfere. Phelipe Aleson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cabimas FC's Tito Picardo in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mucuro FC's goalie prevented a goal. Cabimas FC's Fidel Alzola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Villodas in the 85th minute of play. Chaime Lombillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Icedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chaime Lombillo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 89 played minutes Mucuro FC got a freekick which was hit by Espiridion Gill. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cabimas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mucuro FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
