After a rather tough play, Upata FC's Chuse Barajo got a free kick in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Upata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Villodas came free, but Vennancio Murua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leon Villodas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th match minute, Upata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garin Artieta to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Icedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Etor Forcada went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phelipe Aleson in the 28th minute of play forced Upata FC's goalkeeper Vennancio Murua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mucuro FC's goalkeeper Nuno Icedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mucuro FC's Phelipe Aleson got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chuse Barajo got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Mucuro FC booed when Upata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chuse Barajo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Upata FC's zone, Leon Villodas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vennancio Murua came out of the goal and Leon Villodas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vennancio Murua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogerio Fernando, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Vennancio Murua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Villodas in the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mucuro FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Upata FC.
