Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chaime Lombillo in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Grandoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, everton's Romildo Bolde got a free kick in the 6th minute. Ermano Susvillas short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Fidel Alzola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Manoel Ruales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Ruales in the 15th minute of play forced Cabimas FC's goalkeeper Fidel Alzola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermano Susvilla got free with Fidel Alzola in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Cabimas FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Efrain Revenga hit a great ball. Fidel Alzola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benvide Oñatibia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Botello Menendez fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored everton's protests and gave Botello Menendez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to everton getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Botello Menendez hit a great ball. When Cabimas FC's Tito Picardo in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye everton's goalie prevented a goal. Iparragirre Camarero's late challenge caught a Cabimas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iparragirre Camarero helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Cabimas FC's Efrain Revenga tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Martxel Naranjo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Benvide Oñatibia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Cabimas FC's Fidel Alzola got control of the ball when Ermano Susvilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Tito Picardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Grandoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Alzola made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Ermano Susvilla sent off a good shot on target. Manoel Ruales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Alzola having to interfere. Ermano Susvilla came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fidel Alzola could save by the left post. Manoel Ruales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Manoel Ruales made the kick off in the second half. If Ermano Susvilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelino Grandoso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cordearo Lami. Romildo Alegria charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romildo Alegria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 82 minutes into the game, one of Cabimas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manoel Ruales in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidel Alzola saved Cabimas FC from getting behind. With a little luck, everton's Angelino Grandoso got control of the ball when Chaime Lombillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ermano Susvilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fidel Alzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cabimas FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Nicolas Caubilla hit a great ball. Fidel Alzola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermano Susvilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Ermano Susvilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. everton's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
