Darien Lariz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jokin Barbero, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Xosepe Liebana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to los pumas getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Sansone Orta hit a great ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Alvarez Hompanera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Locos Por Una Cerveza Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvarez Hompanera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sugar Caicedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Darien Lariz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Sugar Caicedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sugar Caicedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Xosepe Liebana managed to get in a good position for a shot. los pumas's supporters rose to their feet, but Xosepe Liebana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darien Lariz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, Locos Por Una Cerveza Fc's Manolito Ahumada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Agüeros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Darien Lariz came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by los pumas's Xosepe Liebana. But to his dismay, Xosepe Liebana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Xosepe Liebana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sugar Caicedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darien Lariz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manolito Ahumada to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xosepe Liebana in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darien Lariz saved Locos Por Una Cerveza Fc from getting behind. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Locos Por Una Cerveza Fc's goalkeeper Darien Lariz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute Sugar Caicedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darien Lariz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sugar Caicedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Darien Lariz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Sugar Caicedo notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Locos Por Una Cerveza Fc's Darien Lariz. Darien Lariz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Jokin Barbero fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored los pumas's protests and gave Jokin Barbero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Jokin Barbero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xosepe Liebana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darien Lariz having to interfere. The supporters of los pumas booed when Locos Por Una Cerveza Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egun Diz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Locos Por Una Cerveza Fc's zone, Xosepe Liebana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darien Lariz came out of the goal and Xosepe Liebana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
