Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Ulises Troncoso came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Cavacas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Troncoso couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Pavieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Troncoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Xilo Armoña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Guillermo Pavieta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Xilo Armoña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulises Troncoso in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillermo Pavieta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulises Troncoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Troncoso in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Pavieta saved Halcones FC from getting behind. Xilo Armoña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Guillermo Pavieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xilo Armoña's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Guillermo Pavieta firmly grabbed it by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulises Troncoso to make the kick off. Guillermo Pavieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xilo Armoña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
