Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jorge Taboada kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Abel Fontoria fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 11th minute, Jorge Taboada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edelmiro Irazu. The goal made the score 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Mineros de Guayana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geofredo Arnero came free, but Raimundo Narganes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mineros de Guayana FC's Raimundo Narganes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Varez in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Eloi Capelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canturria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mineros de Guayana FC the free kick. After 19 played minutes Canturria FC got a freekick which was hit by Eloi Capelo. Nesto Biempica's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edelmiro Irazu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Nesto Biempica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nesto Biempica struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Edelmiro Irazu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mineros de Guayana FC. After having played for 25 minutes, Jorge Taboada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mineros de Guayana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Taboada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edelmiro Irazu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Taboada in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mineros de Guayana FC's zone, Feliberto Varez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Narganes came out of the goal and Feliberto Varez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Senon Villaelrriego hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Jorge Taboada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes into the match, Abel Fontoria notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Canturria FC's Edelmiro Irazu. Edelmiro Irazu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Raimundo Narganes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geofredo Arnero, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Canturria FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Abel Fontoria scored to the left of an out of position Edelmiro Irazu, making the score, 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerardo Acebes to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Taboada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Geofredo Arnero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Narganes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 56th minute Bonifaco Yaner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Narganes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Narganes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Acebes in the 59th minute of play. Raimundo Narganes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Acebes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Canturria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Varez to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Canturria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Fontoria came free, but Edelmiro Irazu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Fontoria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mineros de Guayana FC's Abel Fontoria got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Jorge Taboada came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Mineros de Guayana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Taboada couldn't finish the play. Abel Fontoria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Edelmiro Irazu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Gerardo Acebes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Narganes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Irazu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Fontoria's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Edelmiro Irazu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Taboada in the 89th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Senon Villaelrriego hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
