Yago Neli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mineros de Guayana FC. In the 7th minute, Nesto Biempica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yago Neli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Mineros de Guayana FC's Abel Fontoria got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Jorge Taboada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Fontoria in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yago Neli saved Manaticito from getting behind. In the 20th minute Jorge Taboada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yago Neli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mineros de Guayana FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Mineros de Guayana FC's Abel Fontoria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Yago Neli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Fontoria went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sustrai Zartucha in the 33rd minute of play forced Manaticito's goalkeeper Yago Neli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benvido Payueta during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mineros de Guayana FC made a substitution. Jon Riesgo replaced Abel Fontoria. In the 34th match minute, Manaticito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benvido Payueta to maneuver through the defense. After 36 minutes Manaticito's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nesto Biempica who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Manaticito's goalie and right to Jorge Taboada. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Manaticito's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Nesto Biempica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manaticito's Yago Neli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Jorge Taboada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yago Neli was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Jorge Taboada took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yago Neli. Yago Neli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. If Tadzio Fragua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tadzio Fragua made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Taboada in the 54th minute of play forced Manaticito's goalkeeper Yago Neli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mineros de Guayana FC's Raimundo Narganes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadzio Fragua in the 56th minute of play. Tadzio Fragua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Narganes having to interfere. If Jon Riesgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yago Neli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Riesgo in the 68th minute of play. Nesto Biempica in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yago Neli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Manaticito's Benvido Payueta got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Benvido Payueta off the ground. The supporters of Mineros de Guayana FC booed when Manaticito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benvido Payueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Taboada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Taboada had several of the Manaticito's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadzio Fragua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tadzio Fragua came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Manaticito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadzio Fragua couldn't finish the play. If Jon Riesgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jon Riesgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Yago Neli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jon Riesgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mineros de Guayana FC's Jon Riesgo got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 97th minute Cosme Robezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Narganes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mineros de Guayana FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
