Zilar Noguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Yago Neli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Benvido Payueta fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manaticito's protests and gave Benvido Payueta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Corcado FC booed when Manaticito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benvido Payueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zilar Noguer came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Corcado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zilar Noguer couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Manaticito's goal looked a bit too open when Zilar Noguer came free, but Yago Neli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Manaticito players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Corcado FC were winning 0-2.

Corcado FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cosme Robezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Demesio Quiroz came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Corcado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Demesio Quiroz couldn't finish the play.
