An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandalio Yzaguirre in the 18th minute of play forced El Tanque Bolivariano's goalkeeper Venerando Torrado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Padro Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jago Alzaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes El Tanque Bolivariano got a freekick which was hit by Espiridion Venero. In the 26th minute, Sandalio Yzaguirre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Venerando Torrado. The goal made the score 1-0. If Sandalio Yzaguirre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandalio Yzaguirre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Venerando Torrado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venerando Torrado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandalio Yzaguirre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orain Villena's late challenge caught a El Tanque Bolivariano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orain Villena helped the player get up and apologised. Zenon Pescatori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Padro Carneiro having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Distiratsu Trevijano to strike the kick off in the second half. Maiorga Abendaño hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Buinton Casal during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, El Tanque Bolivariano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Buinton Casal to maneuver through the defense. Chivacure's Padro Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jago Alzaga in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Tanque Bolivariano's goalkeeper Venerando Torrado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cucao Tartales scored 4-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Venerando Torrado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. El Tanque Bolivariano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
