Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Ramiréz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 6 minutes, Juli Alvarez made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Punzon's Pepe Arnuero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Juli Alvarez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pepe Arnuero. Punzon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juli Alvarez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 16th minute, Juli Alvarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pepe Arnuero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Alvaro Ramiréz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepe Arnuero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Behram Vacit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's supporters rose to their feet, but Behram Vacit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pepe Arnuero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francis Van Geel in the 21st minute of play forced Punzon's goalkeeper Pepe Arnuero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Alvaro Ramiréz sped through Punzon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pepe Arnuero. Pepe Arnuero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvaro Ramiréz's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Ramiréz in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pepe Arnuero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juli Alvarez took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pepe Arnuero. Pepe Arnuero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alvaro Ramiréz managed to get in a good position for a shot. After the first half Berenjenas de Punto Fijo were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Ramiréz made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Ramiréz in the 51st minute of play forced Punzon's goalkeeper Pepe Arnuero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tulio Ojero charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tulio Ojero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tulio Ojero kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Nico Otamendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Pepe Arnuero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute Dieter Denys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Arnuero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvaro Ramiréz in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pepe Arnuero saved Punzon from getting behind. After 63 minutes Punzon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dieter Denys who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Alfredo Miliano got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-11. 63 minutes into the match. After 66 minutes, Juli Alvarez made it 0-12 with a short kick to the right side. Punzon's Pepe Arnuero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pepe Arnuero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juli Alvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Alvaro Ramiréz came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Ramiréz couldn't finish the play. After 72 minutes of play, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Juli Alvarez made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pepe Arnuero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Punzon's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Dieter Denys scored to the left of an out of position Pepe Arnuero, making the score, 0-14. Pepe Arnuero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Ramiréz in the 83rd minute. After 83 minutes, Montrel Dorado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Punzon and the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 83 played minutes Punzon got a freekick which was hit by Montrel Dorado. Alvaro Ramiréz in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pepe Arnuero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 86 minutes, Alvaro Ramiréz made it 0-16 with a short kick to the right side. Punzon's Pepe Arnuero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 0-17 when Alvaro Ramiréz sped through Punzon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pepe Arnuero. In the 92nd minute, Juli Alvarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Punzon fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
