The audience was convinced that Arias Pendones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hondo Cortez was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Flavio Indo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Hondo Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arias Pendones, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Arias Pendones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hondo Cortez having to interfere. If Mino Lucio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Presedo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 23 minutes, Mino Lucio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garza Blanca F.C. and the Punzon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Garza Blanca F.C.'s Mino Lucio got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Arias Pendones made a precise shot to the right of Hondo Cortez. Garza Blanca F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Punzon's Pepe Arnuero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Punzon from getting a goal against them. After 34 played minutes Garza Blanca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Indo. Garza Blanca F.C.'s Mino Lucio got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norino Pando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Pepe Arnuero made a huge save. 45 minutes into the game, Flavio Indo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garza Blanca F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Punzon the free kick. The supporters of Punzon booed when Garza Blanca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Indo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norino Pando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepe Arnuero having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mino Lucio made a kick off. Arias Pendones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hondo Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute Etxepare Amieva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hondo Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes Garza Blanca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eusebio Presedo. Arias Pendones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Hondo Cortez made a huge save. If Arias Pendones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Norino Pando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garza Blanca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Norino Pando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norino Pando struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Pepe Arnuero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garza Blanca F.C.. Etxepare Amieva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hondo Cortez having to interfere. Hondo Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Montrel Dorado in the 87th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Etxepare Amieva sped through Garza Blanca F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hondo Cortez. Punzon's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
