Gumaro Riart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luix Bailina in the 17th minute of play. When Mucunutan FC's Sandalio Gonzales in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Heredia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, Heredia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandalio Gonzales came free, but Christiano Basurto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mucunutan FC played a much better game than Heredia FC and deserved their victory. The Heredia FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
