When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Claude Adrales sped through Maracaibo City FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chinto Samano. After 20 played minutes, Deportivo Valencia F.C's Severino Faso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chinto Samano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Valencia F.C reached it. In the 21st minute, Zuriko Diaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Valencia F.C's Jakob Bäckman got a free kick in the 26th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ugutz Lueje was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo Valencia F.C's Antoine Saint-Exupéry got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antoine Saint-Exupéry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Chinto Samano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Maracaibo City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antoine Saint-Exupéry came free, but Chinto Samano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claude Adrales had several of the Maracaibo City FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Chinto Samano as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 69th match minute, Maracaibo City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ascencio Martioda to maneuver through the defense. Claude Adrales might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chinto Samano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claude Adrales ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Antoine Saint-Exupéry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Valencia F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Antoine Saint-Exupéry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Emilio Bispo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maracaibo City FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Antoine Saint-Exupéry scored to the left of an out of position Chinto Samano, making the score, 0-5. Chinto Samano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoine Saint-Exupéry in the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Claude Adrales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Valencia F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claude Adrales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
