When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Tiger Waaentz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Chinto Samano. Tiger Waaentz scored 0-2 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chinto Samano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Maracaibo City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiger Waaentz came free, but Chinto Samano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Tiger Waaentz came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Racing club Calabozo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiger Waaentz couldn't finish the play. After 33 played minutes Racing club Calabozo got a freekick which was hit by Chano Ter. After a defensive mix-up in Racing club Calabozo's zone, Emilio Bispo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maties Mestanza came out of the goal and Emilio Bispo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chinto Samano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiger Waaentz in the 42nd minute of the match. The Maracaibo City FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Racing club Calabozo were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiger Waaentz made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Tiger Waaentz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maracaibo City FC's Chinto Samano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 54 minutes, Tiger Waaentz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing club Calabozo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiger Waaentz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiger Waaentz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Racing club Calabozo's goal looked a bit too open when Ugutz Lueje came free, but Maties Mestanza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chano Ter might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chinto Samano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chano Ter ran back to his position shaking his head. 1-4 became the score in the 66th minute when Ugutz Lueje elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Racing club Calabozo's Tiger Waaentz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Chinto Samano. Chinto Samano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. When Tiger Waaentz came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Racing club Calabozo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiger Waaentz couldn't finish the play. Maties Mestanza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ugutz Lueje in the 77th minute of play. Tiger Waaentz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Chinto Samano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiger Waaentz in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chinto Samano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Xabel Natos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing club Calabozo's supporters rose to their feet, but Xabel Natos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chinto Samano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Racing club Calabozo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maracaibo City FC.
