Vitor Abuleta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Maldonado's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Rik Bonachea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valencianos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Aragua FC the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Valencianos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rik Bonachea to maneuver through the defense. Renato Nunez-Tesheira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Vitor Abuleta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Atletico Aragua FC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Atletico Aragua FC's Pedro Maldonado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Pedro Maldonado sped through Valencianos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vitor Abuleta. Vitor Abuleta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Aragua FC. Modestio Bonjoch charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 72 played minutes Valencianos got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Augenthaler. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Peruxu Queiruga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valencianos's supporters rose to their feet, but Peruxu Queiruga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnold Collins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Maldonado in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitor Abuleta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the match, Pedro Maldonado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitor Abuleta. Valencianos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Maldonado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Nunez-Tesheira in the 87th minute of play forced Valencianos's goalkeeper Vitor Abuleta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Renato Nunez-Tesheira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute of the match Oxel Sominaya sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vitor Abuleta skillfully saved the ball. Pedro Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitor Abuleta having to interfere. Atletico Aragua FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
