The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Lixandro Resines put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Galácticos F.C.'s Lixandro Resines got a free kick in the 12th minute. Calisto Uruñuela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Petrol Latinoamérica's Damaso Mañes got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Mañes in the 32nd minute of play forced Galácticos F.C.'s goalkeeper Inko Mir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Paulino Mogrovejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Petrol Latinoamérica's Cordarryl Peralta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elpidio Cavadas charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Inko Mir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calisto Uruñuela in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inko Mir saved Galácticos F.C. from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Mogrovejo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Nicolas Parra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inko Mir was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Cordarryl Peralta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Mogrovejo in the 61st minute of play. Galácticos F.C.'s Inko Mir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calisto Uruñuela in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Parra got free with Inko Mir in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calisto Uruñuela in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Inko Mir saved Galácticos F.C. from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Petrol Latinoamérica's Inko Mir threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Calisto Uruñuela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Calisto Uruñuela got free in front of the goal in the 83rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Inko Mir was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bento Pintor charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, Petrol Latinoamérica's Calisto Uruñuela got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Inko Mir. After a rather tough play, Galácticos F.C.'s Beti Avendaño got a free kick in the 87th minute. Damaso Mañes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petrol Latinoamérica played a much better game than Galácticos F.C. and deserved their victory. The Galácticos F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
