The shot was a little too simple and Gao Wei Jing could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Zulia FC defense, Bernebe Ledesma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zorion Cepeda. The Zulia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zorion Cepeda should have stopped the shot. In the 15th match minute, Zulia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Machuca to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes of play, Almirante Brion's Bernebe Ledesma made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zorion Cepeda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Javiar Ufret scored 0-3 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zorion Cepeda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Hipolito Castrillo took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Gao Wei Jing to make any attempt to save it. Hipolito Castrillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gao Wei Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josias Tocalanza in the 30th minute of the match. Josias Tocalanza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gao Wei Jing having to interfere. Javiar Ufret's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zorion Cepeda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Hipolito Castrillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hipolito Castrillo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Zulia FC got a freekick which was hit by Pepito Melendo. Zorion Cepeda made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Javiar Ufret sent off a good shot on target. Zorion Cepeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponce Viera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, one of Almirante Brion:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Almirante Brion. The referee gave Zulia FC a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hipolito Castrillo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Almirante Brion's Gao Wei Jing. 3-3. Bernebe Ledesma was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 76th minute, Josias Tocalanza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gao Wei Jing was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. After 84 minutes, Hipolito Castrillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zulia FC and the Almirante Brion players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Hipolito Castrillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zorion Cepeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponce Viera in the 94th minute of the match. Zulia FC's Zorion Cepeda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Zulia FC from getting a goal against them.
