Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Renaldo Trueba kicked off to start the match. Zorion Cepeda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Meleon in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renaldo Trueba in the 12th minute of play forced Deportivo San Cristóbal's goalkeeper Gauargi Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josias Tocalanza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gauargi Astudillo having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Zulia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafe Oñez came free, but Zorion Cepeda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Froylan Colomo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zorion Cepeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josias Tocalanza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gauargi Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hipolito Castrillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gauargi Astudillo having to make a save. Gauargi Astudillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hipolito Castrillo's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Gauargi Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Castrillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gauargi Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Castrillo in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Froylan Colomo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zorion Cepeda. Zulia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Froylan Colomo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Zulia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erauso Mazarredo came free, but Zorion Cepeda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hipolito Castrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zorion Cepeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Meleon, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Deportivo San Cristóbal's Gauargi Astudillo got control of the ball when Josias Tocalanza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roland Meleon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Zulia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Llorienzo Diez to maneuver through the defense. Gauargi Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Llorienzo Diez in the 56th minute of play. If Hipolito Castrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 minutes, Horado Jiron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo San Cristóbal and the Zulia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Claris Bonet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erauso Mazarredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 played minutes Zulia FC got a freekick which was hit by Pepito Melendo. After 67 minutes of play Deportivo San Cristóbal's Horado Jiron was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 67th match minute, Deportivo San Cristóbal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horado Jiron to maneuver through the defense. Pepito Melendo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of Deportivo San Cristóbal booed when Zulia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claris Bonet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Froylan Colomo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Zorion Cepeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Llorienzo Diez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zulia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 89th minute, Hipolito Castrillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gauargi Astudillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Erauso Mazarredo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo San Cristóbal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zulia FC.
