Polo Oropesa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Solana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lucas Candana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taguaiguai's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Candana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Polo Oropesa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Candana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Candana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Polo Oropesa having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Candana got free with Polo Oropesa in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jorge Solana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polo Oropesa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Solana in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hurko Ageitos to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Lucas Candana made a precise shot to the right of Polo Oropesa. Legión Vinotinto FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Polo Oropesa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Solana in the 68th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jorge Solana sped through Legión Vinotinto FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Polo Oropesa. After some careless play in the Legión Vinotinto FC defense, Jorge Solana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Polo Oropesa. The Legión Vinotinto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Polo Oropesa should have stopped the shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Jorge Solana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Polo Oropesa was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Lucas Candana took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Polo Oropesa. Polo Oropesa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Taguaiguai's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
