With a left leg Polo Oropesa saved Legión Vinotinto FC from getting behind. Jorge Solana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jorge Solana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legión Vinotinto FC's Polo Oropesa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Rodrigo Rendain sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Polo Oropesa skillfully saved the ball. Ceandro Aguirol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silbestre Repiso having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Ramiro Atauri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Jorge Solana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Polo Oropesa was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Legión Vinotinto FC's zone, Lucas Candana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Polo Oropesa came out of the goal and Lucas Candana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 played minutes, Taguaiguai's Rodrigo Rendain shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Polo Oropesa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taguaiguai reached it. The Legión Vinotinto FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Taguaiguai were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Solana to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucas Candana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Legión Vinotinto FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Taguaiguai were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
