Xarles Mendiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Foro Rafecas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Cirilo Munis took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xarles Mendiola. Xarles Mendiola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Xarles Mendiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Munis in the 21st minute of play. Benedicto Llanes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Niguel Lorca made a huge save. Benedicto Llanes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Niguel Lorca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 36th minute Gilmar Loriga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xarles Mendiola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilmar Loriga scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xarles Mendiola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute Gilmar Loriga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xarles Mendiola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xarles Mendiola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Aragon in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Unión de Palavecino were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedicto Llanes was the one to do the kick off. In the 74th minute Benedicto Llanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niguel Lorca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Foro Rafecas charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Foro Rafecas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Foro Rafecas kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Benedicto Llanes took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niguel Lorca. Niguel Lorca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Matias Aragon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión de Palavecino's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Aragon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xarles Mendiola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Ereinotz Varandalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 minutes of play, Miranda Leopardos Fc's Benedicto Llanes made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niguel Lorca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ereinotz Varandalla lost his temper 98 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 97th minute, one of Unión de Palavecino:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Unión de Palavecino. The Unión de Palavecino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Unión de Palavecino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
