Xamo Pozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Bannister in the 2nd minute of play. UD Liga Nacional's Xamo Pozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Bannister in the 5th minute of play. Rayland FC's Mariano Bombarda got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Bannister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Bannister took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xamo Pozo. Xamo Pozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Simao Pestaña's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gökalp Gümüşcüoğlu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the UD Liga Nacional defense, Roger Bannister kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xamo Pozo. The UD Liga Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xamo Pozo should have stopped the shot. After having played for 31 minutes, Atauri Segurola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Liga Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atauri Segurola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Ximun Zaldos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xamo Pozo. UD Liga Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ximun Zaldos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Roger Bannister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th match minute, Rayland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stein-Roger Omholt to maneuver through the defense. Gökalp Gümüşcüoğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atauri Segurola's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After 42 minutes, Mariano Bombarda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rayland FC and the UD Liga Nacional players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Mariano Bombarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Rayland FC's goalkeeper Gökalp Gümüşcüoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Americo Burgueño. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Americo Burgueño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. UD Liga Nacional's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Roger Bannister 51 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. After 55 played minutes Rayland FC got a freekick which was hit by Roger Bannister. Josias Acha kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to UD Liga Nacional getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Simao Pestaña hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, UD Liga Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Bannister came free, but Xamo Pozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xamo Pozo came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rayland FC's Roger Bannister. But to his dismay, Roger Bannister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. When Stein-Roger Omholt fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rayland FC's protests and gave Stein-Roger Omholt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Rayland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stein-Roger Omholt to maneuver through the defense. Rayland FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
