Americo Burgueño hit a great ball. The supporters of Venzóleo Club de Football booed when UD Liga Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Americo Burgueño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Americo Burgueño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Liga Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Burgueño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Azubeli Castañera took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Xamo Pozo to make any attempt to save it. Americo Burgueño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venzóleo Club de Football players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
