Erubiel Carcedo's late challenge caught a RP Proyectos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Chichiriviche Deportivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Lomeli to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Chichiriviche Deportivo got a freekick which was hit by Ermano Echeverria. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. After having played for 77 minutes, Izotz Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chichiriviche Deportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izotz Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nacho Larquera's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Haimar Ventura firmly grabbed it by the left post. Haimar Ventura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nacho Larquera in the 82nd minute. After 83 minutes, Cesar Zeppeli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RP Proyectos and the Chichiriviche Deportivo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chichiriviche Deportivo booed when RP Proyectos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Zeppeli didn't get a good kick on the ball.
