Deportivo Tachira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ildefonso Somarriba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Estevao Barrachina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Urbes Beitia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Tachira's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbes Beitia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garcia Olivan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urbes Beitia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garcia Olivan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Garcia Olivan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Tabliega went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Urbes Beitia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcia Olivan having to interfere. A collision led to Deportivo Tachira getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Salvador Tabliega hit a great ball. Urbes Beitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salvador Tabliega in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garcia Olivan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Garcia Olivan came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Tachira's Urbes Beitia. But to his dismay, Urbes Beitia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Oihenarte Tomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Garcia Olivan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, The Americans's goalkeeper Garcia Olivan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salvador Tabliega. Silverio Alguerdo's late challenge caught a The Americans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silverio Alguerdo helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Deportivo Tachira got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Alguerdo. Estevao Barrachina took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isaio Silio. Deportivo Tachira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The The Americans fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Tachira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
