Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ostots Pascual got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Baldomiro Arrizabalaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maureo Izcaray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 7 minutes on the clock, Reynaldo Piega commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 6th minute, one of CA Guarenas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CA Guarenas. Fernandez Lascano went to the wrong direction when Rodrigo Tarrero was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, CA Guarenas's Dalmau Tolosa got a free kick in the 16th minute. Maureo Izcaray came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Guarenas's Dalmau Tolosa. But to his dismay, Dalmau Tolosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. FC Bilbao's Segio Burriaga got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maureo Izcaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ostots Pascual, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ostots Pascual struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Maureo Izcaray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Guarenas. When Erruki Veloso fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Bilbao's protests and gave Erruki Veloso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Bilbao's Erruki Veloso got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half CA Guarenas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

CA Guarenas's Fernandez Lascano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segio Burriaga in the 54th minute of play. Ostots Pascual recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Palos Guillemez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Guarenas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Palos Guillemez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ostots Pascual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isauro Lope during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th minute, FC Bilbao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ostots Pascual fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Erruki Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ostots Pascual's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maureo Izcaray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erruki Veloso in the 76th minute of play forced CA Guarenas's goalkeeper Fernandez Lascano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Erruki Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CA Guarenas played a much better game than FC Bilbao and deserved their victory. The FC Bilbao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
