When Salvador Tabliega came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Deportivo Tachira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Tabliega couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Ludueña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Tachira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Guarenas the free kick. The supporters of CA Guarenas booed when Deportivo Tachira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Ludueña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Tachira's Silverio Alguerdo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Selmo Campelo, made in the 21st minute of the game. If Salvador Tabliega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernandez Lascano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Tabliega, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Deportivo Tachira's Silverio Alguerdo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Arrizabalaga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaio Silio. Deportivo Tachira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Arrizabalaga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 36th minute Silverio Alguerdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandez Lascano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomiro Arrizabalaga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Isaio Silio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, CA Guarenas's Palos Guillemez got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in CA Guarenas's zone, Silverio Alguerdo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandez Lascano came out of the goal and Silverio Alguerdo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvador Tabliega made a kick off. CA Guarenas's Fernandez Lascano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save CA Guarenas from getting a goal against them. Edson Sendeño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urbes Beitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Fernandez Lascano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, CA Guarenas's Fernandez Lascano got control of the ball when Salvador Tabliega tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute, Deportivo Tachira's Salvador Tabliega dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Selmo Campelo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Fernandez Lascano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Urbes Beitia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 82 minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, CA Guarenas's goal looked a bit too open when Urbes Beitia came free, but Fernandez Lascano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Oihan Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Tachira's Urbes Beitia got a free kick in the 95th minute. Baldomiro Arrizabalaga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isaio Silio. Deportivo Tachira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Deportivo Tachira's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
