Eder Casares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Escualidos FC's Eder Casares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ostots Pascual in the 13th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Escualidos FC's Petri Villajane made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernandez Lascano was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baldomiro Arrizabalaga during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baldomiro Arrizabalaga hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Escualidos FC's zone, Ostots Pascual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eder Casares came out of the goal and Ostots Pascual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petri Villajane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernandez Lascano having to make a save. Petri Villajane took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernandez Lascano. Fernandez Lascano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The CA Guarenas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Escualidos FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petri Villajane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st match minute, Escualidos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petri Villajane to maneuver through the defense. Ostots Pascual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eder Casares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, CA Guarenas's Fernandez Lascano got control of the ball when Stanislao Pernau tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 76 played minutes CA Guarenas got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Arrizabalaga. Ostots Pascual struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Eder Casares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Guarenas. After 83 played minutes Escualidos FC got a freekick which was hit by Stanislao Pernau. After 87 played minutes CA Guarenas got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Arrizabalaga. In the 92nd minute, Ostots Pascual got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ostots Pascual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Escualidos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Escualidos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
